March 5th, Monday night, #1 Drexel faced #2 VCU in the 2012 Championship game. This was a battle worth waiting for, another chance for VCU to prove that they made the final four for a reason. Although they score became close in the 2nd half, VCU won 59-56 and the title of 2012 CAA Champions.

Four teams faced off in the CAA Semi-Final tournament hoping to win the chance to play for the 2012 CAA Men’s Basketball Championship Game. VCU vs George Mason (a rematch that Mason longed for) and Drexel vs ODU. VCU came up with the win again, 74-64, while Drexel dominated ODU 68-51.

Had the opportunity to photograph the last Virginia Commonwealth University basketball game of the regular season, where they honored senior Bradford Burgess. George Mason played very aggressively (which can be seen) but VCU overcame with the win, 89-77.
I had the great opportunity to photograph another college basketball game this weekend. Virginia Commonwealth University played against against Northern Iowa, where VCU won 77-68 .
I had the great opportunity to photograph my first college basketball game last night. It was VCU’s homecoming game against Northeastern, where VCU won 59-56. This opportunity reminded me of when I used to play basketball in high school, and how much I love having the opportunity to photograph this sport.
