Air Jordan Spoof

9 Feb

This semester I am taking a film animation course which has so far been challenging.

For my first animation project I decided to make an Air Jordan Spoof commercial titled Taking to the Sky:

R.I.P. Sean Taylor

“It’s not difficult to separate it, … When I’m here, I’m not worried about anything other than what’s going on on the field.” – Sean Taylor

This is a pen drawing I drew in honor of my bro Sean Taylor of the Washington Redskins as a dedication to his family when he passed away.

You will always be remembered and will always be missed.

RIP Bro (April 1, 1983-Nov. 27, 2007)

Portrait Drawings

“There are only two styles of portrait painting, the serious and the smirk” – Charles Dickens

For this collection of works I used pastels (both chalk, charcoal, and oil). I wanted to give these portraits a painterly feel compared to a regular pencil drawing. I wanted to capture these children’s identity and personality through my work.

Charcoal Drawings

“Art is accusation, expression, passion. Art is a fight to the finish between black charcoal and white paper.” – Gunter Grass

Just a small collection of charcoal drawings i’ve done from portraits to still lifes.

“You are your own judge.  The verdict is up to you.”  ~Astrid Alauda

I believe i’m my biggest critic, enemy, and competition. It’s up to me to decided where I imagine myself and if I’ll take those steps to be who i want be. I may not be going the path others want me to take, but I dont see art as a road block, because it defines me.
